On Saturday April 24th, 7 members of our club turned out at Pohai Nani to help put some much needed paint to walls and curbs. Carolyn Morrison, Pres. Larry Smith, Pete Dyer, Tish Camero, Pres-Elect Tom Slavens, A.L. Temple, and Peter Putterman arrived early in the morning ready to help. Splitting into two crews, the morning was spent applying much needed paint to the walls and ceiling of the common room in the Staff Housing facility that provides affordable rental apartments for Pohai Nani staff and painting the curbs, for safety, along the cottage road. It was a beautiful morning, the work went quickly as Pohai Nani's Director of Maintenance, Jerry Aglipay, and staff had all the tools and paint ready for us on arrival. The morning went quickly and Pohai Nani laid out a great lunch for all who worked. Thanks to Carolyn Morrison who also kept us supplied with drinks and snacks while we painted.
