Doug Carlson

Doug Carlson’s background includes 36 years involvement with Hawai`i’s news media.  Doug’s service with Hawaiian Electric Company and other energy providers has positioned him favorably to consult on public and media affairs for the emerging renewable energy industry. His web log – Hawaii Energy Options –  covers  Hawai`i’s unique dependence on fossil fuels and how to reduce it. He produces and hosts Energy Futures, a "live" hour-long program on Hawai`i energy issues, 5-6 pm HST each Monday on Hawai`i Public Radio’s KIPO-FM (89.3) and streamed on the ‘net.

On Saturday July 25th, Club Members will be collecting much needed school supplies at the Long’s Drug store at the Safeway shopping center in Kaneohe. Collected supplies will be distributed to area elementary schools.

Last year, the club collected over 900 pounds of supplies!

Volunteers are needed! Kiha Tirrell will have more info and will circulate sign up sheets.
